Creamy Quinoa Porridge

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
To serve
  • additional Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original
  • sliced bananas
  • toasted almonds
  • maple syrup
  • blueberries
Tip
  • Substitute bananas and blueberries with other seasonal fruits. Or try some poached or stewed fruits.

Cooking Directions

  • Rinse quinoa under cold running water. Add to a large saucepan with the water. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes, or until tender and water has been absorbed. Set aside to cool.
  • For serving, add quinoa to a large pan with the milk, Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original and cinnamon. Bring to a gentle simmer until heated through.
  • Spoon quinoa between serving bowls and top with an additional dollop of Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original, some sliced bananas, almonds, maple syrup and blueberries.
